Star Ratings Assessment Schemes

In order to be eligible for our various marketing campaigns (subject to fees) including the Cotswolds, Cheltenham & Gloucester Visitor Guide and to feature on any of our websites: www.cotswolds.com, www.visitthecotswolds.org.uk and the Cotswolds membership scheme operated by Cotswolds Tourism, you do need to have a grading for your property. For accommodation providers we firmly recommend a valid star rating with one of the nationally recognised assessment bodies: Quality in Tourism (VisitEngland) or the AA. 

The Cotswolds Local Tourism Assessment Scheme

Alternatively join the Cotswolds Tourism Local Assessment Scheme. The Cotswolds Tourism Local Assessment Scheme is a stepping stone towards the National Quality Assurance Standards. It is delivered in partnership with VisitEngland and, while accommodation providers meeting the standard will not yet be participating in the national scheme, they will be demonstrating their commitment to quality improvements. A local assessor will inspect properties against a standard, indicating they are clean, comfortable and fit for purpose (please see below for more information).
