Farmers Markets

Stroud Farmers' Market

There are many Farmers' Markets around the District that are all worth a visit. All are run by members of the Old Gloucestershire Farmers' Market Group, apart from Stroud which is run by "Made in Stroud". Details of all of them can be found below:

Held every Saturday this award-winning farmers' market, winner of Radio 4's Best Farmers' Market in the country in 2010 and  featured in the Sunday Telegraph, The Observer, The Independent, The Guardian Weekend, Rick Stein's Food Heroes and the Country Living guide to Farmers' Markets, is held in the purpose-built Cornhill market place in Stroud town centre and spills into the surrounding streets.

Stroud Farmers' Market, run by "Made in Stroud", celebrated it's 10th anniversary on 4 July 2009. There are around 50 to 55 stalls at each market, depending on the season, with up to 7 organic producers selling a good range of certified organic produce.

With occasional cooking demos from local celebrity chef Robert Rees, entertainments throughout the morning and the "al fresco" market cafe, the atmosphere of this well established and popular market is something to be experienced.
