Staying safe in the Stroud district

Government restrictions in relation to Covid-19 have now been lifted, meaning there are no longer rules on social distancing, capacity of venues or masks. However, it is important to be aware that the coronavirus pandemic is on-going and there are many people still taking precautions. Many businesses have continued to keep in place their own measures to keep staff and public safe.

It is important that we all use personal judgement to manage our own risk. All of us can play our part by exercising common sense and considering the risks.

You can keep yourself and others safe by:

  • Keeping a safe distance from people who are outside of your household

  • Choosing outdoor activities, where virus particles are less likely to spread in fresh air

  • Wear a mask in shops and venues, and on public transport or other crowded areas

  • Wash you hands regularly with soap and water or with hand sanitiser

  • Cough or sneeze into a tissue and dispose of it as soon as possible

  • Do not go out if you have any symptoms of coronavirus. Stay at home and get tested.
