Coaley Peak Picnic Site

With breathtaking views of the Severn Valley, Coaley Peak, near Stroud, is a picture-perfect spot, whether you want to fly a kite with your kids or pitch up on one of the picnic tables or bring a blanket to sit in the wild flower meadow It’s also a popular stopping point for walkers along the Cotswold Way National Trail, which passes through the site.

Park surrounds Woodchester Mansion in a hidden, quiet valley. Secret and closed to the public for many years it is now owned by the National Trust and can offer several miles of walking to those who love such peaceful places. The Trust car park for the property (fee requested) is off the road linking Coaley Peak with Nympsfield. Stout footwear advised as paths can be muddy.

Opening Hours: Open throughout the year from dawn til dusk. 
Admission: Free admission (parking £2) Charges apply for entry to Woodchester Mansion.
