Party in the Parc is a community festival being run by the Wotton Community Sports Foundation. It features 17 bands on two stages; loads of activities for children; a wide range of sports activities, and a party village of stalls and food outlets. There will also be a beer tent from the award winning Wickwar Wessex Brewery. For full details see the Facebook page @WottonPartyInTheParc.
A New Children’s Festival designed for and with young people and the young at heart. Celebrating both nature and literature we’ve got a magical tree, storytelling and storywriting, puppets, art workshops, butterfly hunts, an art exhibition, a children’s choir - and even an opera workshop!

Commences in the town centre in the morning followed by a procession to the Recreational Ground, where there will be a talent show, tug of war, circus school, classic cars and much more. The Festival of British Eventing takes place at Gatcombe Park, the spectacular home of the Princess Royal and her family. It incorporates the British Open, Intermediate and Novice Championships, as well as the Amateur Championship, The Corinthian Cup. As well as a weekend of top class eventing there will be a shopping village, and arena attractions with entertainment for all the family. This free music and arts festival takes over Stroud every August Bank Holiday weekend. There are four official stages, parades, street entertainment, creative childrens’ workshops and great food and drink. This famous beer festival returns with over a hundred different beers, more than a dozen ciders and a large range of wines from all over the world. There will be a wide range of food available from a number of local food providers.
